The proposal to give territories to Russia, Medvedev: Ukraine should also give
The vice-president of the Security Council of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, has reacted to the statements of Jens Stoltenberg's partner, Styan Jensen, that giving the territories of Ukraine to Russia would be a "possible solution" for ending the war and joining NATO.

Medvedev said on his Telegram channel, according to Russian news agency Tass, that if Ukraine agrees to give up territory to join NATO, then it will have to give up Kiev as well.

"Why? The idea is strange. The only question is that all the supposedly "their" lands are highly contested. In order to join NATO, the Kyiv authorities will have to leave Kyiv itself, the capital of ancient Russia," said Dmitry Medvedev. "Well, then they should move the capital to Lviv. If, of course, the Poles agree" , he added.

Lviv is the largest city in western Ukraine and is a few kilometers from neighboring Poland.

Earlier, according to the Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang, while participating in a panel on the war in Ukraine, Stjan Jensen, acting director of the NATO Secretary General's office, said during his speech that "one solution could be ceding territory to Russia so that Ukraine would receive Alliance membership in return.

The answer did not take long to come from the side of Kiev. Volodymyr Zelensky's right-hand man, Mykhailo Podoliak, said in a statement on Twitter that this is a ridiculous proposal and a "deliberate choice to defeat democracy".
