But being effective means achieving the desired results in a balanced way. To better understand this difference, imagine that you are tasked with making a cake. Being efficient in this case means using as little time and ingredients as possible. But if the cake is not good or something is missing, the result will not be satisfactory.
However, being effective means making a cake that is good and everyone likes it, even if it takes more time or using more ingredients. Entrepreneurs and managers of private companies who become good politicians generally follow 3 basic rules, which however are not normally adopted and used in everyday business practice.
