Albanians involved in the murder of the Greek mobster? The executors were paid
Vangelis Zabunis

Other details come to light from the execution of the Greek mobster, Vangjelis Zabunis in the center of Athens.

Police believe the executioner(s) are hitmen.

They even arrived in Greece from a Balkan country, probably from Albania.

According to Top Channel, this murder cost more than 300,000 euros.

There had long been talk in Athens' nightlife that hitmen were wanted for a big job. From the manner of the murder, the way the combs of the gun were tied, the blow to the head with the pistol bullet to ensure that he was dead, indicate that the executioners may have been contract killers "imported" from abroad.

Vangjelis Zabunis is accused of some of the most sensational murders in Athens, such as the murder of Stafankos and Griva, the heads of blackmail in Greece; bomb placement and the Panagopoulos robbery.

The cameras were able to record the moment when the 44-year-old enters the parked car. Seconds later, the perpetrators' car approaches.

The latter come out and shoot dozens of times at the car of Vangjelis Zabunis. Merciless in his act, one of the executioners opens the car door and continues to shoot again, to be more than sure that Zabunin is dead.

Police said they found 97 shell casings at the scene and that the assassins are suspected to have used 3 different weapons, at least 2 Kalashnikovs (which were found in the perpetrators' burned car) and a 9 mm pistol.

Zabunis, an important exponent of the underworld in Greece, was executed on Saturday evening on "Ilia Iliu" street, in the center of Athens. A few minutes after the execution at the exit of Athens in the place called Hajdari, the perpetrators' vehicle was also found burnt, an off-road vehicle which turned out to be rented, while inside the vehicle were also the weapons used in the murder.
