White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt reiterated the quadrilateral objective for its military strikes on Iran, sticking closely to her messaging amid confusion among allies over the path to this weekend's swift strike. According to Leavitt, the US aims to achieve four core objectives with the strikes on Iran.
1-Destruction of the Iranian regime's ballistic missile program.
2-Destruction of Iran's naval presence in the region.
3-Dismantling Iran's terrorist groups, which have been responsible for attacks on US coalition forces and have contributed to the destabilization of the region.
4-To prevent Iran from further pursuing a nuclear weapon.
Leavitt's comments come as the administration has struggled to articulate its intentions in Iran following the first attacks in the early hours of Saturday morning.
"It's safe to say that so far, Operation Epic Fury has been a tremendous success ," Leavitt told reporters Wednesday.
