American President Joe Biden has targeted his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, in a recent speech, describing the head of the Kremlin as a "brutal tyrant".
Washington continues to supply weapons to Kiev and train the Ukrainian military, Biden noted when he spoke to graduates of the US Military Academy at West Point.
"There are no American soldiers in the war in Ukraine. I am determined to keep it up.
But we are standing strong with Ukraine and we will stand with them. We are up against a man whom I have known well for many years, a brutal tyrant. We will not leave," said the American president.
