The war in Ukraine has reached its 745th day. Russia "does not intend" to kill Volodymyr Zelensky. This is what the first deputy of Russia's permanent representative to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyansky, declared.
"Do you really think that if we wanted to hit Zelensky's motorcade, we wouldn't succeed? Try to answer that question, but be honest,” Polyansky said, referring to the Russian missile attack on Odessa on Wednesday.
During the night, as reported by the Ministry of Defense of Moscow, Russian forces destroyed 47 Ukrainian drones in four regions of the country. Meanwhile, Zelensky flew to Turkey to meet Erdogan.
"I am grateful to Turkey for its reliable support to Ukraine," said the Ukrainian president. His Turkish counterpart said he was ready to host peace negotiations between delegations from Kiev and Moscow.
Russian forces launched 15 kamikaze drones over Ukraine overnight, 12 of which were destroyed by Kiev's air defenses. This was announced by the Air Force of Ukraine on Telegram.
The drones were launched from the Chauda area of occupied Crimea and the Russian territory of Primorsko-Akhtarsk. The downed drones were captured in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Poltava regions.
