
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has abandoned his friend of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik. Commenting on Dodik's statement about the possible "separation" of Republika Srbska with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vucic said that Serbia respects the integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina and will not allow the violation of the Dayton Agreement.
Asked by a journalist about Dodik's statement that he will begin to "separate" from the entity of Bosnia-Herzegovina, as well as the request addressed to him as president of Serbia to support him in this initiative, reports Danas .
Vucic stated that Serbia's position is to recognize BiH as an internationally recognized state, and that it recognizes its territorial integrity and the territorial integrity of the RS within BiH and demands respect for the Dayton Peace Agreement.
He said that he only talked with President Dodik about his trip to Russia and the postponement of the "Easter Assembly" to make joint decisions after the adoption of the resolution on Srebrenica.
He added that there are many topics that are important in the relations between Serbia and the RS and that the protection of the Cyrillic alphabet, the Serbian language and cooperation in the field of culture and economy are essential.
