At a time when the European currency is very close to falling below the level of 100 lek, there is also talk of a strengthening of the lek currency.
The economy expert, Zana Guxholli, that the lek has not strengthened, even such a finding is ridiculous.
"The lek has not strengthened, it is laughable to say that the lek has strengthened. What happened to our economy? Has productivity increased? Have Albanian and foreign investments increased? Has employment increased? Has income increased? So you need a healthy, vital, productive economy, with all these indicators to accompany it and believe it, and then it is a healthy growth of the lek." Guxholli said.
According to the official exchange rate of the Bank of Albania, 1 euro is being exchanged for 100.93 ALL, while it is bought for 100.6 ALL at currency exchange points.
Economic experts predict that in August, the euro may even reach the level of 90 lek. This would be a historic record to remember and would surely have more impacts than that.
