Albania is experiencing these days a festival of crazy readings of Trump's installation in the White House. The unrelated analogies with his stories with the American justice read the desires of the plural solidary political caste of Tirana to put the pickaxe to the new justice. The rampant fantasy refers as accomplished facts that have not yet happened.
In no other country in Europe, at least judged by the major media, do we encounter so many excuses and displays of belittling and misunderstanding Trumpism in ridiculous proportions and forms.
It's a good thing the world doesn't know our language.
There is no mystery about what Sali Berisha thinks about SPAK and the new justice system. He has vowed to undo it. This clear pledge would be fitting if he were not himself under investigation in a court case.
Either way, Berisha's pledge implies Rama's involvement and implication. Because to undo the justice reform, two-thirds of the deputies are needed. Which no party can win alone.
Rama's stances have been reminiscent of a Nietzschean expression, which said that in ambiguity I find more clarity than in clear speech. Rama has moved between ambiguities, subject to American and European vigilance in defense of the inviolability of SPAK and the new justice.
After the changes in the White House, some analysts close to him are publicly criticizing the decision to sign with Berisha the ban on the new justice system. So far, it seems like a lot. But Rama can return to his dream of reducing the momentum of SPAK and making legal regulations that decriminalize the act of abuse of office. He can even go further if international circumstances allow. All while covering the relative setback of the reform with the populist rhetoric of its "strengthening".

But this time also with the European Union, which has taken on the role of first violin in support of justice, strictly conditioning the step-by-step progress towards our country's EU membership on strengthening the rule of law and the fight against crime and corruption in high places.
The European Union is unlikely to break up, the expansion is unlikely to stop. Despite the apocalyptic predictions of the Trumpist fortune tellers. Considering the US a natural and strategic ally and desiring close cooperation with the "Trump" administration, the European Union seems prepared to face the new challenges of the times we live in. Thus, Rama and his government can only hinder the new justice at the price of preventing it from becoming part of the EU. Which remains a living aspiration of Albanians.
The well-known reasons for American protagonism and co-authorship for the conception and implementation of the justice reform in Albania, clearly manifested and with greater force during the first mandate (2016-2020) of President Trump, are in force. There is no sign that this support will not continue. Expectations and possibilities are that it will increase. Prime Minister Rama will conform to this position. Berisha's commitment to undoing, as an expression of opposition to the previous administration, will be exhausted.
The day when American support no longer needs to be manifested will in fact mark the beginning of the era of complete independence of justice in our country.
Its independence has already begun, it is in process, on the path of consolidation. SPAK prosecutors and GKKO judges have the law, protection and dignity that guarantees their independence. They have a patriotic awareness of the mission and individual integrity. They are not derivatives of politics. The advancement of justice is their merit. Its inhibition would be their responsibility. From this point of view, they are the main defenders of its independence. The public expects this from them. Regardless of where the maneuvers and rhetoric of politicians beat.
