Berisha's illusion that Generation Z must save Generation S

Now Sali Berisha seeks his political salvation from Generation Z...

Those born in 1944 are the Silent Generation, or Generation S for short. Those born around 1997–2012 are called Generation Z. Both generations are associated with a year of war in Albania. Generation S, Saliu's, was born when the country was in the flames of World War II, while Generation Z was born in the year when Albania was in the flames of civil war, provoked by Sali Berisha.

Now Sali Berisha seeks his political salvation from Generation Z.

Generation Z, after 1997, has grown up with smartphones, the internet, social networks, global information, WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, etc. Their main values are originality, personal freedom, personal well-being and a great sensitivity to topics such as: mental health, identity, gender equality, human rights, etc. Above all, they are challengers of the authorities who want to control them. They see work as something that should have meaning and flexibility. Generation Z requires more job changes, emigration, online work, freelance; they do not easily accept jobs "just for bread and butter", without perspective or dignity.

All of these traits make Generation Z a great force for change in today's societies, as they put state authorities under the pressure of creating a new, unfamiliar, and often difficult to cope with society.

Of course, this generation exists in Albania too. We have them among us, they are our children, they are an entire generation that often seems useless and unconnected to the homeland and the values that we think are important for a society.

And they can become factors of change in Albania. They can challenge the government, they can rise up, they can change politics and everything else.

There's only one thing I don't understand: why does Sali Berisha, of generation S, who grew up as a communist and is dying as such, think that generation Z will rise up to bring him to power?

The first politician that Generation Z throws down the drain is the prototype of politician Sali Berisha. But apparently Berisha thinks that Generation Z can be fooled like the students of December, so that they can stage an uprising and then he can regain power?

Not only Berisha, but they will also wipe out these scattered opposition experimenters, these people who each call for a 'national protest', but have enough people to fill a meeting hall. Generation Z does not rise up in protests to resurrect the dead, but to bury the living who are on our feet.

Generation Z is the enemy of authoritarianism and rules. It doesn't mean that they necessarily bring anything good to society, as they can also bring anarchy, but they will never bring Sali Berisha to power.

When you say Generation Z, it doesn't mean they're "of Zen." Like these protesters gathering in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
