That whole banal scene of Sali Berisha, who besides entering the hall uninvited, besides letting him speak for only a minute and interrupting him, and then recording his speech talking to himself to lie to the democrats here, is only done so that he can convince the democrats of the DP that he is not a leader isolated from the West...
What happened to Sali Berisha in Strasbourg is not something extraordinary, if Berisha did not have to lie to the democrats that he is an internationally recognized personality. The serious thing is that he proved more than any of his opponents that he is not only a super-isolated leader, but also a banal leader.
Albana Vokshi, as a regular member of the delegation, could have spoken at the session perhaps better than Berisha within the allotted time, but of course not off-topic. And this would have disrupted the DP's work less than Berisha did.
That whole banal scene of Sali Berisha, who besides entering the hall uninvited, except being allowed to speak for only a minute and being interrupted, and then recording his speech talking to himself to lie to the democrats here, is only done so that he can convince the democrats of the DP that he is not a leader isolated from the West.
This is a costly lie, as in addition to making himself look like a banal person, it reinforces the Democrats' despair that no one accepts them with Sali Berisha at the helm.
They would have felt much better if Albana had spoken instead of him, who had his rightful place in the meeting, and then they could lie here whatever they wanted.
On the other hand, that scene in Strasbourg is a strong lesson for parliamentarianism in Albania, where the rostrum of the Parliament is occupied by force and Sali Berisha regularly disrupts every plenary session, accompanied by his bodyguards who are paid as MPs. He never respects the allotted time and the maximum he receives as a remark is a sigh from Niko Pelesh who tells him: "it may be difficult for you, it may be difficult for you."
In fact, with this gesture he did a good deed, because now that standard of the Strasbourg parliamentary hall, where they interrupted his speech like a beaten dog, should be the standard of the Albanian parliament hall, where fireworks and Molotov cocktails are lit more than speeches are given.
The same person, found in front of a woman leading the session in Strasbourg, was forced to shut up and record his speech at the toilet door to lie to the democrats in Tirana. The same thing should happen here, with the difference that he doesn't have to record it in front of the parliament toilet, but keeps it in front of the cameras waiting for him outside.
In a way, what happened to Berisha is asking you to put on your eyebrows and gouge out your eyes. He wanted to tell the democrats that he would take the scandal that is happening in the Albanian Parliament to Strasbourg, but in fact, with what happened to him, he must now be forced to bring the standard of what happened in Strasbourg to the Parliament hall in Tirana, where he must be shown his rightful place, where he stands between the Tritan and the Flag.
