Lobbying in the US, as Berisha's betrayal of the Democrats!

Who needs the removal of the "non-women" law if the DP doesn't win the elections?!

On the eve of the May 11 elections, when the Democrats are waiting for the long-awaited rotation of power to take place, as the expression "it's our turn" has come to light, an act of political betrayal, otherwise in their interests, comes to light. We are talking about the DP's lobbying agreement in the US through the company "Continental Strategy", which seems to serve only the interests of Sali Berisha and his family, but not the DP's coming to power or the removal of Edi Rama from power. Here are some reasons. This agreement, which was thought to remain in some way non-public, as long as neither the DP's allies, nor its official structures, the Presidency or the National Council, nor the members of the parliamentary group were aware, was designed with a 2-year timeframe and a total value of 6 million dollars and did not have the May 11 elections in mind at all.

If it had not been made public by fellow journalist Klodian Tomori, the agreement with a foundation that is being created in America just a week before the signing, leaves strong shadows of doubt about its manner, form and purpose. Everyone is now asking how it is explained that such a large sum of 6 million dollars is paid, as stated in the object of the contract, for the regeneration of the DP's relations with the USA, at a time when such a sum could be used for the campaign and electoral needs that would give the opposition a big boost in the elections? So it is as true as that popular expression "let's leave the wedding and go for a walk". 6 million dollars is not a little, and even 750 thousand dollars as a down payment is a truly significant and large amount for the electoral campaign and the increase in the electoral power of the opposition.

Then why was this money of the "Albanian patriots" in America not used to help the opposition win the elections, but was used to clean up and revitalize the DP's relations with the American administration?! The answer is equally understandable and simple. The Berisha&co group, that is, its loyal servants, are not interested in the DP's victory in the elections, but in cleaning up the image of the boss and the boss's family members from the "non grata" design in the United States. Meanwhile, this highlights an even more petty and intriguing goal, that in addition to Berisha knowing and seemingly foreseeing the defeat in the elections, he plans to continue the family control of the party even after the failure on May 11.

The DP statute, rewritten by Berisha himself with his prompters of manipulation schemes and political manipulations in the party, provides for the resignation of the chairman in case of failure in the elections. But this seems unlikely to happen or even if it does, the party may pass as a property inheritance, within the family, to his daughter, Mrs. Argita Berisha Malltezi, who has not ruled out the possibility of full engagement in politics, while the father has hinted that this depends on the will and desire of his daughter, implying that the act of transferring the party leadership within the family may be implemented after the elections.

Otherwise, there is no explanation for millions of euros being spent to clean up the tarnished political image and status of the Berishas in America when in fact political retirement is on the verge. Who needs the removal of the "non grata" if the DP does not win the elections?! Today the USA is led by an anti-Soros administration. The natural question that arises is: why should millions of dollars be paid to rehabilitate the DP's relations with the USA, if there was a conspiracy against Berisha and the DP by Edi Rama and his Sorosist friends in the previous Democratic administration in Washington? The idea alone would be enough that there was a conspiracy, so that the "non grata" for Sali Berisha, his wife and two children would be undone. But they know that the alleged implications in the State Department file are true and were in fact prepared by the first Trump administration and executed during the Biden administration. And Berisha knows that this cannot be undone politically and diplomatically, but can be bought financially. And for this he and his people are ready to pay not 600 thousand or 6 million, but 60 million dollars. And this shows that apart from himself and family interests, Berisha has no other goal today.

Therefore, the Democrats must understand that they have been betrayed in their great illusion, that Berisha is leading them towards the overthrow of Edi Rama from power. He is simply using them as political material, for personal troubles and family political inheritance. May 11 is not the day of victory, but it is the day of betrayal and their trustworthiness. May 11 should also mark the beginning of the eternal end of the liberation of the DP from its unvoted and, moreover, unwanted usurpers. Hand over the party to free people, democrats and citizens. They will find their own leader who should not and cannot be a leader sponsored by the Berisha family nor their servant.

The new leader must come from a true process of openness and democracy in the party that led to the arrival of pluralism in Albania. Otherwise, May 11 will mark both the political death of the Democratic Party and the inglorious political death of the one who started it as the founder of the DP and is ending his career as its hostage-taker and destroyer.
