I remember when, after 2000, some smart and skilled people in their professions joined the Democratic Party, people who thought and articulated as clear oppositionists, as determined democrats.
Then there was a piece by the famous poet Bardhyl Londo.
Londo said that he viewed our struggle as the DP with great optimism, also due to the fact that today there are some uncorrupted people in it and among the most skilled in their fields.
He mentioned Ilir Rusmalin, secretary of constitutional affairs in the DP.
Rusmali was doing a wonderful job and had the appreciation and respect of everyone in the DP, from ordinary militants to senior leaders and Chairman Berisha.
Bardhyl Londo himself was one of the respected figures, a man who came to the DP as a member of the leadership after the horror of 1997.
Rusmali radically changed the entire articulation of the DP on the law, justice, and the constitution, and made the language of the DP dominate over the government and its language.
