The Special Court of Appeal has overturned the decision of 21.05.2019 of the former Court of Appeal for Serious Crimes for the Lazarat group sentenced to a total of 52 years in prison.
The 4 members were sentenced to a total of 31 years in prison.
The black platoons were ultimately sentenced to:
Arbjon Aliko sentenced to 10 years in prison (was sentenced to 13 years in prison)
8 years in prison Gurgaz Skënderi (was sentenced to 11 years in prison)
8 years in prison Enrik Skënderi (was sentenced to 10 years in prison)
4. 9 years in prison Alfred Proko (was sentenced to 10 years in prison in absentia)
The Special Appeal also overturned the decision of the former First Instance Court for Serious Crimes for citizen Beqo Brahimi, who was sentenced to 8 years in prison for "Production and sale of narcotics" and "Destruction of property by fire", deciding to dismiss the case against him for these charges, because he was convicted of the same criminal offenses by a final court decision.
The sentences were handed down in connection with the 2014 events in Lazarat.
