29-year-old Albanian Gjergj Përgegaj, who was shot dead in Arezzo by a fellow countryman out of jealousy.
According to Italian media, he was shot by his ex-girlfriend's current partner, a 35-year-old man, who found him talking to the young woman, of Romanian origin, after finishing his shift as a waiter.
George would celebrate his 30th birthday on April 19th.
The incident occurred yesterday evening, when the perpetrator, after seeing them together, lost control and pulled out his gun, shooting three times at the victim. One of the bullets hit Gjergj Përgegaj in the throat, causing his instant death, while emergency services were unable to do anything to save him.
After the crime, the perpetrator fled the scene, but was arrested a few hours later by police without resistance. The 29-year-old's body was taken to the San Donato Hospital morgue, while investigations continue to fully clarify the circumstances of this murder with motives of passion.
