24 people have been arrested as part of the "Temple 4" operation by the Tirana police.
The Tirana police have hit a criminal group that was distributing cannabis, cocaine and synthetic drugs near schools and nightclubs.
Tirana police director Tonin Vocaj, in a statement to the media, announced that 24 people were arrested, 9 of whom were previously arrested while 15 were arrested today.
According to the police, 4 others have been declared wanted, while the police continue to work on their capture. The materials for 2 criminal proceedings were referred to the prosecutor's office in Tirana. After a several-month investigation, legal evidence was obtained for 28 citizens.
"1.8 kg of cocaine, 18 kg of marijuana, 30 doses of synthetic drugs, 350 doses of suspected synthetic narcotics, ecstasy and LCD, mobile devices and vehicles of citizens implicated in this criminal activity were seized," Vocaj said.

"After a several-month investigation with special investigation methods by the Narcotics Investigation Specialists at the Local Police Directorate of Tirana under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, legal evidence was provided to document the criminal activity of 28 citizens .
On the basis of the evidence obtained during the investigation, the first phase of the "TEMPLE 4" operation was organized and finalized, in which 24 people were caught and imprisoned, 9 of whom were previously arrested and are being investigated with the measure of personal insurance "Arrest in prison" without time limit, while 15 were arrested today. Also, the work for the capture of 4 other citizens continues, they are being pursued with search measures.
During the operation, citizens Vilson Tresa, Asllan Maqellara, Etgent Luzi, Kostandinos Deliu, Armand Haderllari, Blerim Biba, Ilir Tufa, Kevin Kolgegaj, Marios Saliaj, Damjan Hasani, Erblin Buci, Ervis Duro, Jurgen Xhafa, Aldo Grabovari, Gazmend Hoxha, were arrested. Sajmir Gerbaj, Aleksander Kili, Orgest Beqo, Xhelo Ajasllari, Paolo Shyti, Ervin Rakipi, Erdi Kurti, and Adrian Ramushi.
During the investigation, the following were seized as material evidence:
– 1.8 kg, narcotic cocaine;
– 18 kg, marijuana narcotics;
– 350 doses, with suspected synthetic narcotics, ecstasy and LCD;
- mobile devices and vehicles of citizens implicated in this criminal activity.
The investigation showed that these citizens were distributing narcotics near schools, in nightclubs and other places frequented by young people, in different areas of Tirana. Narcotics Investigation Specialists at DVP Tirana under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Tirana continue the investigative actions for the complete legal document of this criminal activity and for the identification and bringing before the legal responsibility of the other persons involved.
