Drug trafficking and prostitution, 5 Albanians are arrested in Italy; the interceptions that sank the criminal group

An Albanian-Italian drug trafficking and prostitution ring has been busted by Chivasso police in Italy.

The Italian police have arrested five people while the investigation started with the discovery of a marijuana plantation in San Raffaele Cimena in October 2021, where a 49-year-old Albanian was arrested.

The criminal group was also discovered from his phone. The 49-year-old managed his contacts through WhatsApp and the trade, which included cocaine, hashish and marijuana, took place in a shop in Barriera di Milano. Investigators identified two main supply channels, starting from Calabria and Albania.

The investigation revealed the exploitation of prostitution, which was run by three Albanian brothers aged 29, 34 and 36 and a 44-year-old Moldovan woman who ended up in prison.
