The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance, Tirana, has ordered the seizure of the assets of citizen Shkëlzen Kastrati, who has been internationally wanted for drug trafficking in Germany since 2022, and his father.
The assets, including apartments and a garage in Durrës and Tirana, are suspected to have been acquired from Shkëlzen Kastrati's criminal activity in Germany.
"Internationally wanted by Interpol, Germany for drug trafficking, at the request of the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, the assets of citizen Sh. K. and his father in Albania are seized. At the request of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction, Tirana, the assets of citizen Sh.K., declared internationally wanted for the criminal offense of 'Drug Trafficking' in Germany since 2022, and his father, IK, were seized, as they are not justified by income or profits from legal activities.
From the investigations in cooperation with the Economic Crime Section, at the Tirana Police Directorate, on property proceeding no. 01, registered on 18.02.2026 and after a specialized financial analysis, it resulted that this citizen and the person related to him do not have the financial means to secure the registered assets.
In these circumstances, the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana assessed that it is necessary to proceed with the imposition of restrictive measures against the immovable properties that have resulted up to this point in the investigation, as it is suspected that they were acquired as a result of the involvement of citizen Sh.K. in the activity of production and sale of narcotics.
The prosecution requested that the court order the seizure of the assets of Sh.K. and the person related to him, his father, IK, as follows: 1- Immovable property unit no. 16, in Cadastral Zone 8518, Durrës Beach, with an area of 191.00 square meters, acquired by citizen IK; 2 – Property acquired with the contract for transfer of rights dated 31.08.2017, with the beneficiary citizen Sh.K.; a). apartment no. 36, type 1+1, net area 56.69 m², with a common area of 8.44 m², and a total area of 65.13 m², section no. 3, third residential floor, (fourth above ground) consisting of a room and a kitchen and other common use areas; b) Property apartment no. 39, type 1+1, net area 56.69 m² with common area 8.44 m², and total area 65.13 m² section no. 3, fourth residential floor, (fifth above ground) consisting of a room and a kitchen and other common use areas; c) Property garage no. 28; and 3- Property acquired by citizen Sh.K, by means of order contract no. 1265, apartment with total construction area 104.8m², common areas 10.5m², on "Don Bosko" street, Tirana," the prosecution announces.
