The Albanian was caught with about 400 thousand euros in cash hidden in the car, the detail that "betrayed" him

The Italian authorities have seized almost 400 thousand euros hidden in a vehicle.

In the car driven by an Albanian citizen with a history of drug trafficking, a false bottom was created on the roof and one under the car seat.

In more detail, the officers of the Gioia Tauro group, engaged in an economic control activity of the territory, using the help of the "cash dog" unit, noticed that the upper carpet near the back cover of the car had been tampered with and they were hiding there almost 40 thousand euros.

A more thorough check, again with the intervention of the dog unit, made it possible to identify a double bottom created on the floor under the driver's seat with another 350 thousand euros of various clippings stuffed into it.

The driver of the vehicle has been reported to the competent Palmi Public Prosecutor's Office.
