A 35-year-old man has been arrested by police after being declared internationally wanted for computer fraud. He was extradited from Germany to Albania, as part of the international operation codenamed "The Wanted".
Eltion Logu is accused of being a member of a criminal group that, through call center fraud, has caused citizens around 187 thousand euros in damage.
According to investigations, the structured criminal group operated through a call center discovered in 2024, where at least 17 cases or attempted fraud are suspected.
In July 2025, the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime had imposed the security measure "prison arrest" on the 35-year-old.
"Another phase of the international operation, codenamed "The Wanted", is being finalized."
A 35-year-old member of a criminal group that caused citizens around 187,000 euros in damage through call center fraud is being extradited from Germany.
As a result of close cooperation between specialists from the Interpol Directorate and their counterparts from Interpol Wiesbaden, following the operation codenamed "The Wanted", the procedure for the extradition from Germany to Albania of the internationally wanted citizen, EL, 35 years old, born in Tropoja, was finalized.
In July 2025, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime assigned this citizen the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense of "Computer fraud", committed within the framework of a structured criminal group, to the detriment of several citizens.
"The investigations suspect that citizen EL and other citizens, organized as a group, through a call center discovered in 2024, have committed 17 cases/attempts of computer fraud," the police announced.
