In addition to the maximum commitment to provide a correct, ethical and fast service to citizens entering/exiting, the services of the Muriqani Border Police are intensively working to detect and combat border crimes. In this framework, in cooperation with the police services of Shkodra, the coded police operation "Directions" was finalized.
As a result of the operation, the citizens RA, 36 years old, resident of Shijak and SF, 54 years old, resident of Elbasan, were arrested, and the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings for the citizens AC, 53 years old, resident of Elbasan and KM, 56 years old, resident of Mamurras.
The Border Police Services, at the entrance of the country, carried out detailed checks, in the second line, on the bus owned by the 36-year-old (with driver SF citizen and alternate drivers AC and KM citizens). From the controls, in a bag hidden on the dashboard of the bus, 82,010 euros were found, suspected to have benefited from criminal activity, which were to enter our country without being declared.
The money was seized as material evidence.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Shkodër, for further actions, for the criminal offenses "Failure to declare cash and valuables at the border" and "Cleaning the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity". ., the Police announces.
