A violent brawl between two groups of Albanian youths has taken place in the center of Athens. It is learned that 26 people have been arrested while the incident took place in the Kato Patisias area.
It is reported that three of them were seriously injured after the parties clashed with knives, sticks and hard metal objects.
According to Greek authorities, the three seriously injured people were taken to hospital after being stabbed in the chest, near the heart.
Footage published by Greek media protothema.gr shows the moments of the first clash, which took place on December 21, 2025. The video shows a group of people attacking two people with cutting tools, while the event takes place in the presence of numerous passers-by. A few days later, another clash between the same groups was recorded in the same area.
According to the testimonies of those arrested to the police, the initial conflict is suspected to have been over a girl. However, investigators are examining the clash as a main motive for controlling drug trafficking in the area.
During the searches carried out at the suspects' homes, the police seized:
97 grams of raw cannabis
52 grams of cocaine
51 grams of methamphetamine
6 knives and a precision electronic scale
Authorities are continuing investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident and to verify the involvement of those arrested in organized criminal activity.
