A 28-year-old man was arrested by Shkodra police after he was caught red-handed transporting illegal immigrants.
The young man was caught in the village of Vukpalaj in Shkodra, who was transporting 4 citizens from Afghanistan, against payment, in order to illegally cross the border to Montenegro.
The operation was codenamed "Near 2". The blue uniforms seized the vehicle of the young man with the initials SG, as material evidence.
"The services of the Bajze Border Police Station, following the work to combat the criminal activity of providing assistance to foreign citizens, against payment, for illegal border crossing, on the basis of information provided by the police, have organized in cooperation with the services of the Shkodër Border Police Directorate, the coded police operation "Near 2".
As part of the operation, the citizen was arrested:
SG, 28 years old, resident of Shkodër.
This citizen was caught in the act by the Border Police services, on the road of Vukpalaj village, transporting with his vehicle, against payment, 4 citizens from Afghanistan with the purpose of illegally crossing the border to Montenegro.
The vehicle was seized as material evidence," the police announced.
