Border Police checks at the entrance and exit of Rinas have led to the detection of 6 cases of attempted illegal border crossing and 1 case of smuggling.
As a result of the verifications, 6 Chinese citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto, suspected of using forged documents. They are charged with the criminal offense of "Forgery of passports, identity cards or visas, committed in collaboration."
Also, a 45-year-old Belarusian citizen was detained for a thorough search and during a physical and baggage search, a quantity of goods for aesthetic purposes, such as Botox and fillers, were found.
" Thorough checks at the entrance and exit of the Republic of Albania resulted in the detection of 6 cases of attempted illegal border crossing and 1 case of smuggling. 6 Chinese citizens and 1 Belarusian citizen were arrested. 6 false documents and a quantity of smuggled goods were seized. As a result of the checks and verifications, the Rinas Border Police services detected 6 cases of attempted border crossing with false documents. At the end of the procedural actions, citizens MB, 29 years old, X. Zh., 66 years old, Zh. W., 52 years old, HJ, 45 years old, W. Zh., 38 years old and citizen GH, 43 years old, all Chinese citizens.
During the check of the documentation of these citizens, they presented passports of the state of Hong Kong, which the Border Police services suspected to be forged. From the examination in the laboratory, the passports turned out to be forged. Also, during the check of the documentation at the entrance, the citizen AW, 45 years old, with Belarusian citizenship, who was traveling on the Treviso-Tirana route, in the interview by the Police officer was suspicious about the purpose of the trip to the Republic of Albania and for this reason she passed for control in the second line.
During the physical and baggage search, a quantity of goods for aesthetic purposes (botox and fillers) were found and seized from citizen AW, for which special conditions for transport are required, as well as a special license for possession and use, which this citizen did not have. Following the actions, citizen AW was arrested in flagrante delicto, for the criminal offenses of “Smuggling of prohibited goods” and “Smuggling of licensed goods”. Controls and verifications will continue. The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action ”, the police announced.
