The brother-in-law of Nexhmije Haradin, who was shot to death by the former owner of the bakery in Stanoc, Vushtrri, has recounted the moment he learned of her murder.
"He worked there for 8 years, but he fired him 3 times. The fourth time he refused to return to work, he did it out of jealousy because he worked at another poultry farm. I heard the news after I came home from work, I went down to the street and saw a lot of people. I ran and they told me "a woman has been killed", I didn't know who it was, When the neighbor told me later.
"The brother told us that he had threatened her, they thought he was just nervous. This is the latest case, but these cases do not stop. Everyone has sisters (crying), I feel sorry for them when I see women, girls, wives, they try to work, help their husbands and the house, in the end they suffer the worst, only women from evil people," he said.
