
The injured Kostandin Vogli testifies that the fight started after a conflict over a beach bar.
The testimony of the 31-year-old who was injured during the fight in which Rexhep Ismaili lost his life yesterday evening in Saranda is revealed. Kostandin Vogli, a resident of Shën Vasil, Himara, surrendered to the police yesterday.
During questioning, he admitted that he had a long-standing conflict with Viktor Ruçi, related to a beach bar.
Vogli stated that while he was in prison, Ruçi had removed his brother from the business, which had escalated the conflict between the parties.
"When I was arrested some time ago, Ruçi removed my brother from the business," the 31-year-old stated.
According to his testimony, on the evening of the incident, he had gone to the bar to clarify the situation, but the argument between them had escalated. Vogli added that the disagreements were mainly about the division of income from the activity.
"Our disagreements started over money issues related to the business ," Vogli claimed to investigators.
During the conflict in the bar of 66-year-old Rexhep Ismaili, Ismaili himself was killed, while Kostandin Vogli was injured. Police are continuing their investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident and the role of each of the people involved in the conflict that led to a tragic end.
Kostandin Vogli is a person with a criminal record for "improper driving", while in August 2023 he was wanted for "production and sale of narcotics" and "cultivation of narcotic plants", but it is not known whether he has served a sentence for these offenses.
