The tragic case of the murder of an Albanian paid in Veria, which shocked Greece in the summer of 2014, has come to light again.

The Greek media write that a 48-year-old Chechen, sentenced to life imprisonment by the Court of Thessaloniki for the murder of an Albanian, has appealed the decision and is seeking release from prison.

The story dates back to 2014, when a 43-year-old Albanian in Greece was cruelly executed in a contract crime, because the girl's parents did not want her for her husband.

The Albanian, who was divorced and had 2 children, had established a relationship with a 30-year-old girl, 13 years younger than him. Both of them got married in May 2014.

But the girl's parents, although they had a friendly relationship with the 43-year-old Albanian in the past, did not approve of this marriage and tried to take the girl away from him.

The 30-year-old's father had tried several times to separate the couple, going to their house and arguing with his daughter to leave the 43-year-old, as according to him he was poor, older, divorced and had two children. minors.

The Albanian son-in-law, after frequent concerns from his father-in-law, had obtained a protection order from the police and the girl's father was not allowed to approach him.

Under these conditions, the girl's father paid a Chechen citizen who had recently been released from prison for murder and asked him to kill the Albanian. For this, he offered 2,500 Euros, of which he gave 1,500 in advance and the rest afterwards.

Thus, in August 2014, the Chechen citizen together with his 37-year-old nephew strangled the Albanian with a rope and buried him in a wooded area. They first beat him and then strangled him with a rope.

After his disappearance, investigations were immediately started by the Security of Imathia. The cameras identified the perpetrators, who tried unsuccessfully to document an alibi, claiming that at the time of the incident they were with other, third persons, that the 1,500 euros were borrowed.

The 48-year-old was sentenced to life imprisonment. Also, the victim's father-in-law and the author's 37-year-old nephew were sentenced to the same sentence, while the 54-year-old's wife was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
