DP MP Belind Këlliçi has stated that he and his allies have agreed on a candidacy in Tirana that, according to him, will unify the entire opposition spectrum.
Këlliçi added that specific names were discussed, but that he would not make them public, emphasizing that he also has the agreement of the DP.
"It was a very positive and productive meeting, we have agreed on a candidacy that should unify the entire opposition spectrum. This is very good news for all citizens of Tirana that the political forces have a kind of consensus to come up with a name, which can face on the very first day with Ogerta Manastirliu, the candidate who symbolizes COVID and death in the capital, and defeat her."
"We have discussed specific names, we have agreed on the profile that we will need for a candidate. I do not intend to come up with specific names today. We will consider every proposal and name," said Këlliçi.
