The Minister of State and political leader of the Socialist Party for the Diaspora, Taulant Balla, held a meeting with the youngest deputies of the SP parliamentary group, within the framework of the “Political Academy – Young Deputies”. This organization aims to strengthen the role of the younger generation in the Assembly through political formation and active involvement in the legislative agenda.
In his speech, Balla underlined the importance of the results of the May 11 elections, emphasizing that the 83 mandates won by the Socialist Party represent an extraordinary debt that must be repaid through work and real engagement with citizens. “The Albanian people entrusted us with 83 mandates, which we must consider as a debt to be repaid. First of all, by not separating ourselves from the communities, but by listening to them and working more with ordinary people and the Albanian diaspora,” he declared.
Balla stressed that this is the biggest renewal that has ever taken place in the SP parliamentary group, calling it a significant step towards increasing representation and renewing politics. “You have entered politics – ‘Welcome to the club’ – and as such you must be prepared for every challenge and every trap,” Balla said, also noting the important role that the SP has played in supporting the diaspora vote.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of open discussion, where the necessity for a stronger connection between new representatives and citizens was emphasized, as well as the importance of continuous training in facing legislative and public challenges.
