The head of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, gave his comment regarding the election of the People's Advocate, Endri Shabani.
In a media appearance, Balla claimed that Shabani was a candidacy brought in by the opposition. According to Balla, Shabani is the best name ever chosen for this position.
"I wish the new Ombudsman success. On Thursday, as the constitution stipulates, he must appear in session to be sworn in to the Constitution. We all share the assessment that Endri Shabani is a candidacy that comes from the opposition. This is the best case of the Ombudsman's decision ever. 6 candidacies came from the opposition, all 6 entered the vote, and one of them was decided. I have said that the Ombudsman will not be political. We voted for the candidate that the opposition brought," he said.
