Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in his speech during the European Political Community Summit being held in Tirana, stressed the importance of close cooperation between European states.
Erdogan mentioned the tremendous potential to develop the fields of energy, technology and minerals. He underlined that the European Union's efforts to develop the defense industry are "very significant" in these critical times for European security.
Erdogan called for European countries to consult and act together to take the necessary steps to ensure the future security and stability of the continent.
"I am pleased to be here! We must be united. There is an extraordinary potential to cooperate in many areas, from energy to minerals and technology. In these critical times when we discuss the future of European security, the EU's efforts to develop the defense industry are very significant.
Many wars and conflicts in the past have shown us that when it comes to protecting security, if we are divided we are weaker, and if we are united we are stronger. We must consult on the steps we will take. We are at a critical moment for the guns to fall silent and peace to be established in Ukraine. Today, as in the past, everyone is contributing to achieving a ceasefire," Erdogan said.
