Prime Minister Rama, after the closing of the SP National Assembly, spoke about the visit of American Secretary of State Antony Blinken to Tirana.
He said that the fact that the American diplomat chose to visit the Albanian capital shows the importance of Albania for international allies but also for the region.
"I believe that the arrival of the secretary of state in Tirana has a special meaning for the context in which Europe and the world are today. For the very busy time of a secretary of state. The fact that he finds it necessary to decide on his agenda to stop in the Albanian capital as a point of reference for the region shows in a special way where we have raised Albania in the international arena and what Albania represents today in the region. I proudly say that Albania is the force of example to build peace and a common future and to separate from a past full of tragedies, backwardness and endless lost opportunities to leave a better country for other generations " , Rama said during his speech.
While asked if there is any significance that his visit will be on the same day that the decision on the 'McGonigal' case is expected, Rama has refused to answer and has chosen to be ironic by laughing and saying: Goodbye!
