"Edi Rama has no interest in making any reforms that serve the Albanian citizens", this is how the deputy of the DP, Gazment Bardhi, said regarding the statements made today by the Prime Minister, for the reforms which require 84 votes in the Parliament.
According to him, Rama's admission that he is deliberately holding the Electoral Reform Commission hostage shows his mindset to lead in an anti-democratic way.
He further added that today's statements of the Prime Minister, according to him, have proven once again how fair the opposition's fight in the Parliament is.
" Edi Rama has no interest in making any reform that serves the Albanian citizens. The public statement that he is consciously burning the Electoral Reform Commission not to give the Albanians a consensual and comprehensive reform that guarantees the minimum standards for free and fair elections , shows once again the dangerous anti-democratic mindset of the Prime Minister of Albania to keep power with anti-democratic means.
Today's statements by Edi Rama once again prove that the fight of the opposition in the Assembly is right. Albania needs a real, consensual and comprehensive Electoral Reform that addresses all the recommendations of the OSCE-ODIHR and that creates equal conditions of real competition for every political party in the elections , "said Bardhi's reaction.
