Prime Minister Edi Rama has warned that there will be zero tolerance for establishments that have made additions without permission and then legalized them.
According to him, this was done in violation of the law and wherever public spaces are occupied, intervention will be made. He said that this does not apply to apartments.
" The legalization process, abusively for profit purposes, has occupied public space and made a self-declaration that puts them as individuals in the process. The legalization process was closed in 2020. Nothing built after 2020 is legalized. Not that you build after 2020, declare it and when there is a need for intervention by the municipality or government for public interest, they say we are in the process. We will declare this invalid. Declarations for buildings for profit, we are not here to discuss houses, we are here to discuss this great fraud. Not a minute will be wasted for the Cadastral Agency to disqualify it ," said Rama.
