The session includes interpellations with several ministers, review of draft laws, and issues off the agenda.
The Albanian Parliament is expected to be involved in strong debates in today's plenary session, while the agenda includes several interpellations and discussions on draft laws.
According to the official document, the agenda initially includes the approval of the minutes of the previous sessions of April 9 and 16, 2026, as well as various announcements.
An important part of the session will be dedicated to interpellations with members of the government. The Minister of Defense, Ermal Nufi, will be in urgent interpellation at the request of a group of deputies of the Democratic Party. The interpellation has been requested regarding KAYO, while opposition deputies have filed about 22 questions regarding the role of the minister, contractual procedures, parliamentary control and national security issues. This is considered the hottest item on the agenda of the Assembly's work, while the opposition has promised to publish documents that will shed light on what is happening with the company, which by government decision has also been entrusted with the production of armaments.
Likewise, the Minister of Education, Mirela Kumbaro, will face an interpellation requested by MPs from the same parliamentary group. This interpellation focuses on the procedures and guidelines regarding teacher licensing and qualification.
The Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Evis Sala, is expected to be in several special interpellations, requested by various MPs, while the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Andis Salla, will also be part of the parliamentary discussions through an interpellation.
Following this, a question-and-answer session will be held with the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj.
Most of the interpellations were supposed to take place last week, but were postponed because some of the ministers were not present at the session due to other commitments.

The agenda includes several draft laws of an economic and institutional nature. Among them are the draft law on the freedom of establishment and provision of services in the Republic of Albania, as well as the one on the establishment of the National Agency for Educational Services.
Also, amendments to the law on the labeling of energy-related products, the ratification of a multilateral convention to facilitate the implementation of tax rules, as well as amendments to the law on national taxes and the law on the Guard of the Republic are expected to be reviewed.
At the end of the session, deputies will have the opportunity to discuss issues outside the agenda.
