In the podcast "TëPashoj" on the Pamflet YouTube channel, democrat Ronald Bejko spoke about the name of the candidate who could replace Sali Berisha at the head of the Democratic Party.
Bejko said that the leadership of the DP will be taken by the first person who will have the courage to stand up to Berisha and tell him that the time has come to leave. As for the name of Jorida Tabaku, Bejko said that he does not see her as an option to take the leadership of the DP, since she does not enter into a fight with the bigwigs.
"In parentheses, I say this: I think that the future leader of the DP and the Albanian opposition, who will shake up Albanian politics and make Rama take politics seriously – because today he does not take it seriously, especially with these results he has received – will make a mockery of the parliament. It must be a person who dares to stand up to Sali Berisha today. Anyone who dares to say to Berisha: "Your mandate as mayor is over." He should say: “You have held the DP hostage,” or, in more moderate language, that Berisha is leading the DP illegally. Now, how long does Berisha need to prove the electoral massacre, as he says – a month, two months? – and the moment he finishes gathering the facts, he should be told to leave, if there is no reaction to the evidence presented. If within six months Berisha receives a positive reaction from the EP, the DASH or the Albanian courts that accepts his accusations of electoral massacre, then yes, Berisha is right. Can Tabaku do this? I think he can. Tabaku is very good as a technician, but he does not have the courage to face the big guys. Tabaku is good, if you open the way for him and put him there, he does that job very well. In a way, a Lulzim Basha plus. That is, he wants it almost from "Berisha," said Bejko.
