In the Kukës district, the vote counting process has practically been completed, as only one unsealed box remains, which is not expected to affect the final distribution of mandates.
According to official data from the Central Election Commission, the DP - Alliance for Greater Albania (DP-ASHM) coalition received 18,703 votes, securing 3 mandates, and confirming Kukës as a right-wing bastion.
The Socialist Party managed to receive 10,884 votes, which translates into 2 mandates, while maintaining a minimal presence in a district that has historically been right-leaning.
Although it had no impact on the distribution of mandates, the Social Democratic Party (PSD) collected a significant number of 5,018 votes, showing a significant improvement compared to previous elections, but without being able to secure parliamentary representation.
New parties such as:
Together Movement – 103 votes
Albania Initiative Done – 224 votes
Opportunity Party – 237 votes
have had a negligible result, showing that the Kukës region remains dominated by traditional politics, with little room for new political alternatives.
The counting of candidates has already begun, with Elvira Peka leading the Democratic Party with 1,192 votes. Meanwhile, from the closed lists, MP Flamur Hoxha from the Democratic Party and Eduard Shalsi from the Socialist Party have secured mandates.
