Analyst Skënder Minxhozi said that he does not expect anything new from the National Assembly of the Democratic Party, which will be held on September 4.
Minxhozi also said that he is pessimistic about the return of Basha to the head of the party. According to him, Basha needs to "reinvent the wheel" to bring about changes.
"I haven't expected anything from the official Democratic Party for a long time, I join the people who are deeply pessimistic about this return of Lulzim Basha to the party, but also about the performance of the party itself in the conditions when it has to fight, no longer for the government as it used to be when Basha was president, but now he will fight within the opposition, with the pulpit, with Ilir Meta. Lulzim Basha's struggle has been significantly complicated since the moment he left the SHQUP building. A large part of the party, which identifies with Sali Berisha, provoked a deep rift with the official party and received the majority of votes, 500 thousand against 40 thousand in the last elections.
It is currently an unequal war. Lulzim Basha must reinvent the wheel in order to regain lost ground. I'm pessimistic that he can do something like that," he said.
