The last session of the Assembly was held on December 18, 1 month ago. The new parliamentary session is expected to mark strong debates between the majority and the opposition, while the political climate in the country seems to be increasing "temperatures".

However, for two of the reforms that are considered key, the Electoral and Territorial reforms, Edi Rama's Socialists and Sali Berisha's Democrats are expected to sit down for negotiations. At least, this was also confirmed over the weekend by the Democratic Party leader, Sali Berisha, who said that the next local elections will be held with the new territorial division.

Both reforms are expected to be approved within the parliamentary session ending in July.

The Socialists have stated that they do not intend to wait indefinitely for the Democrats to participate in the two special committees established by the Assembly to discuss and draft drafts that will then be presented to the Assembly for approval, which deal with electoral and territorial reform.

At the last meeting of the Socialist Parliamentary Group, Prime Minister Edi Rama went even further, when he spoke about a complete constitutional reform, which even affected the number of deputies in the Albanian Parliament, reducing it from 140 to 100.
