Socialist Party MP, Ermal Pacaj, has spoken about recent developments in the party, where Elisa Spiropali seems to be not very satisfied with the leadership.
Pacaj made the comments on the 'Studio Live' show, where he said that the idea of a possible clash between Elisa Spiropali and Prime Minister Edi Rama was spread publicly after the Socialist MP sat in the last rows at the SP Group meeting.
" We are a political force that, almost a year before the local elections, administers 53 out of 61 municipalities in our country. We have won these municipalities thanks to work and trust. Nothing has come by chance. There is no crisis in the SP. There were no clashes or strong debates at the meeting of the SP Group. Such a debate that would lead to the exclusion of some people from the SP does not exist.
One of the reasons, one of the arguments was the fact of the colleague's positioning at the end of the rows. If you look, I'm two chairs away. When I went, I went to the meeting at exactly 11:00 and sat at the end. We MPs don't have a protocol on where we should sit. And normally when such indications and such scenarios are received that become news, let's discuss them. But there is no substance and there is nothing to discuss in this case ," Pacaj said, among other things.
Meanwhile, Pacaj also spoke about the ambition expressed by Socialist MP Erion Braçe to run for mayor of Tirana under the SP banner.
Pacaj said that it is completely legitimate for a SP MP who has been in politics for 30 years to express such an ambition. According to Pacaj, in the end it is the party forums that will make a decision on this issue.
" An ambition like that of Braçe, who has been in politics for 30 years, I don't think should be made news. What Braçe may have done is a totally legitimate ambition of his. In the end, it is the party forums that will decide ," Pacaj said, among other things.
