Sali Berisha, leader of the Democratic Party, and Jamarbër Malltezi, his son-in-law, seem to have chosen the Tropoja Mountains to relax.
Far from the coast, from their villa in Lalzi Bay, Berisha and Malltezi, both defendants in what is known as the 'Partizani' case, have chosen to cool off in the mountains.
Malltezi gained freedom after more than a year of being under house arrest, where Berisha was also 'locked in', while SPAK investigated him for the privatization procedures of the former 'Partizani' complex.
Both are charged with active and passive corruption, concealment of assets, and money laundering, while for several months, the case dragged on about whether or not it should go to trial.
Both Berisha and his son-in-law, Malltezi, consider the dossier to be politically fabricated, accusing SPAK leader Altin Dumani of being a tool in the hands of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Berisha usually chose to spend his holidays in Lalzit Bay, where his family members have a villa, which was placed under preventive seizure by SPAK during the investigations.
It is not known whether the former Prime Minister has abandoned going to Lalzi Bay, where he used to go hiking as a passion, and swim, even announcing the breaking of personal records.
