The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, has congratulated Kosovo on the entry into force of visa liberalization with the European Union.
Through a post on social networks, Begaj said that this achievement is deserved, but delayed.
" Congratulations to the citizens of Kosovo, who from today travel visa-free to Europe! This is a well-deserved but overdue achievement. I hope that this step will speed up the entire process of Kosovo's membership in the EU and other international organizations ", writes Begaj on Facebook.
Citizens of Kosovo, from this Monday, January 1, 2024, will be able to travel without visas to 27 countries of the Schengen area.
