PD MP Tritan Shehu, in his speech in Parliament, stated that abortion is a criminal act that cannot be tolerated, stressing that this law is being brought to Parliament by the mafia, making fun of the majority.
Shehu emphasized that the law that was brought to the Assembly is very dark and is sponsored by the mafia, adding that the draft law on sexual and reproductive health should not be approved.
"Abortion is not a universal mother's right. Abortion is a criminal act. This is a very dark law sponsored by the mafia, which will turn Albania into a market for fetuses and why not also for LBGT groups, who want to destroy the healthy traditional Albanian family. This is a law that should be despised by Albanians" , said Shehu.
A new draft law regulating sexual and reproductive health has been submitted for public consultation by the Ministry of Health. The draft aims to fully regulate new developments in the field of sexual and reproductive health, including surrogate pregnancy and in vitro reproduction.
