"An oligarch has to wait 3 months to meet me", Rama: Berisha has lost

Prime Minister Edi Rama, also the leader of the Socialist Party, has not stopped making jokes about the Democratic Party leader, Sali Berisha, but also Chris LaCivita, whom he has baptized with the name 'Latifi'.

From Lezha where he held the next electoral meeting, Rama focused on the blunders or slips of the democratic leader, linking them to the $6 million lobbying. And in this context, the prime minister said that Berisha has started to get carried away and make blunders because he thought that by paying those $6 million he would turn the sea sour.

"He has started to complain, because he paid 6 million for Latif and he didn't do it. He said: "I'm taking Latif, I'm giving him 6 million, so that Latif can help me here, so that I can make the sea sour for these people here, and he can make the ocean sour for me there. He is actually making the sea sour, because he is making electoral promises, these promises are spectacular. He also makes some mistakes. In Gramsh he said, look what he is doing to Gramsh, these 50 thousand people make 60 thousand people. In Fier he said: we will give the status of miner to all those who worked in oil." A small change from chrome to liquid. He is anxious now, because now the day of truth has come: the sea sour became sour here, but he is not crossing the ocean," said Rama

The Prime Minister also responded to those who accuse him of being controlled by oligarchs, initially explaining that there are rich people in Albania, but not oligarchs.

"That tale of the five oligarchs who take it all... There are no oligarchs in Albania, because being an oligarch is not enough to be rich, you have to be rich, but you also have to be the power that controls the powers. It means that they decide what the government will do, what the parliament will do. One of these, if it comes to me, will wait three months. Everyone knows it. And forget about us doing things that are not right. They are the biggest employers and the biggest taxpayers in Albania", said Rama.

The socialist leader then returned to his jokes directed at the opposition, focusing on the electoral promises made during the campaign.

Rama brought to attention Berisha's statements made 12 years ago when he compared Albania to Germany.

"We have grown significantly. We do not compete with Germany, I always talk about the region. We competed with Germany, do you remember? Do you remember when we came second after Germany? It was the moment when you intervened and the majority of Albanians intervened, kicking them and taking them home, because they could have stayed there for a while, because they would have put us in a hole, and taken us back to '97," said Rama.
