Dorain Teliti, economic expert and vice president of the opposition councilors in the Municipality of Tirana, spoke about the 10 main failures of the government during 2025.
According to him, the past year was characterized by growing poverty, insufficient pensions, inflation that hit the average citizen hard, unstoppable economic emigration, and a state that chose propaganda over real solutions.
In his latest Facebook post, Teliti lists the most critical points of 2025, warning of the urgent need for change and protection of citizens' dignity.
According to Telit, the 10 main government failures during 2025:
1. Without the minimum living wage, hundreds of thousands of families lived below the poverty line. Social inequality and the growing gap.
2. Pensions that did not even guarantee a minimum dignified survival.
3. High prices and inflation without real protective measures for the most exposed groups. Fictitious wage increases, declining real purchasing power.
4. Budgets without social sensitivity, far from the concerns of citizens, but close to the appetites of the clientele.
5. Uncertainty and lack of confidence in the economy were the headlines of 2025.
6. Increasing fiscal pressure on small, medium and large businesses. Taxes increased, public investments and services did not.
7. High informality and unfair competition. The dishonest won, the honest did not.
8. Lack of support for domestic production. Abandoned agriculture and minimal subsidies. Industry hit and bankrupt.
9. Unstoppable economic emigration, youth continued to leave just as before. Social and economic devastation of the country.
10. Scandals with tenders and concessions...moral failure of governance in the face of poverty and inequality.
The year 2025 ended with poorer families, more tired businesses, and a state that has chosen propaganda instead of solutions.
Citizens deserve dignity, not excuses.
