Democratic Party MP, Luciano Boçi, said that the news of Ervin Salianj's removal from the party leadership should not receive much attention and that there is no official decision to expel him.
"These are the ups and downs of the relationships that exist within a large political force such as the DP, which in its continuity has allowed political debate, different positions and has its own principles. It must be said that it is a party that has traditionally been more towards the center, but with a tendency to move towards a more conservative profile, that is, more right-wing. Being such, it also adopts certain forms and ways of standing.
This is not a tectonic issue that creates major rifts within the DP, but it requires attention. Democrats, we must unite initiatives and actions within it, because it is necessary. As long as there is no decision by the party institutions to expel Mr. Salianji, I believe that all these arguments do not have the necessary weight. We should not engage in actions that do not essentially represent formed political decisions yet", said Boçi on 'A2 CNN'.
However, Boçi criticized Salijanj's movements in recent weeks to hold meetings in different cities.
"Of course, we all want to express our ambitions, to revitalize the life of the party, but this must be done within its institutions," he added.
