Prime Minister Edi Rama, at the year-end conference, also mentioned the operation for the confiscation of floors without permission, where he made public for the first time the income figures from this operation.
According to him, so far 3.5 million euros have been collected from 5 objects and he added that payment is expected for 4 other objects.
Rama says that this action has increased the well-being of the works and that everyone will be displeased with any attempt to take advantage of what is not theirs.
"Today, with the progress of the process of confiscation of buildings and illegal additions for which there was a noise accompanied by conjectures and slanders, I am glad to tell you that the collection of money in the state coffers from the punishment process has started of builders who have crossed floors without permission.
3.5 million euros have so far been collected from 5 objects, there are 4 more that are expected to continue the payments, we expect 10.5 million euros in the state coffers. They will pay like chicken for every square meter without permission, there are 15 objects in the process, it will be continued with the other measures provided by the confiscation law. Thanks to this aggressive action, we see an extremely welcome discipline of construction works and no more violations of this nature are found. Everyone should be clear that whoever makes an extra square meter will pay as much as a chicken, and any attempt to take advantage of what does not belong to him will come out of his nose ," said Rama.
