Edi Paloka, MP and chairman of the National Council of the Democratic Party, when asked about internal developments in this party, the debates and dissatisfaction among the democrats, stated that he has decided to stay and not leave, despite the fact that his proposals have in most cases not been accepted.
On the show 'Kjo Javë', Paloka said that he gives his opinions, but he does not force them to be discussed in the highest party structures.
"I am not unhappy with the DP. I am not passive, but I am not in the direct organizing group for the protests," said Paloka, adding that he once led the protests himself and served time in prison for this.
Indirectly attacking former DP MP Ervin Salianji, Paloka said that unlike others, he "does not wave prison like a flag" whenever he gets the chance like someone else.
"In fact, I did it for the protests, for the illegal organization of protests. They accused me of violence against the police. I did not do it for defamation," said Paloka.
He emphasized that in the DP there are indeed discussions, there are debates, in the end decisions are made and of course the majority decides and we are obliged to implement the decisions made by the majority. In this context, he added that despite the fact that many of his proposals were not accepted, they came out as I said.
"When you are not heard or you start shouting, you bang your fist on the table or sit in a position in silence and maybe don't speak anymore. There are several approaches. I give my opinions but I don't impose them to go to other levels. I am not unhappy with the DP. I am not passive but I am not in the direct organizing group for the protests.
"I once led protests myself, I even went to prison, but I don't wave prison like a flag every time I get the chance like someone else. But I haven't separated, I'm there whenever they need me," Paloka said.
That prison that is mentioned is not the same as the one you mention?
Edi Paloka: Actually, I did it for the protests, for the illegal organization of protests. I was accused of violence against the police. I did not do it for defamation.
