Democratic Party MP Saimir Korreshi, who was one of the most active in the opposition's "action" in Thursday's session in Parliament, has made strong accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama and the government, declaring that "genocide with the state budget" has been committed in Albania.
Korreshi, referring to the clash in the Parliament, emphasized that what happened was not a coincidence, but a natural reaction to a situation that, according to him, can no longer be called normal.
" There can be no normal parliament when a deputy prime minister is being asked to go to prison. She should have come to ask for her resignation and a public apology. Rama cannot act as if nothing happened ," the DP MP said to A2 CNN.
Korreshi focused particularly on the investigative files and used harsh language about how, according to him, public funds were used.
" When you look at the files, you are dealing with a genocide on public funds. I say it without any fear: this was a genocide committed with the state budget ," he declared.
Commenting on the disciplinary measures announced against opposition MPs, Korreshi spoke of double standards and injustice.
"These people steal from you, these people beat you, and these people punish you. Come on, find this logic. MPs who haven't moved from their seats are declared guilty ," he said.
According to Korreshi, there can be no "normality" whenever the state budget is affected and serious accusations of corruption are raised at the highest levels of government.
" There is no longer political culture when you are robbed. When you are robbed, the reaction is human ," the Democrat MP emphasized.
He stated that the opposition will continue the political and institutional reaction, insisting that everything that is happening has a single cause, the abuse of public money and the lack of responsibility by the government.
