Democratic Party MP Jorida Tabaku has criticized the government's statements on wage increases, calling them propaganda that does not reflect the economic reality of Albanian families.
In a video published on social media, Tabaku emphasizes that the government itself has acknowledged the dramatic increase in prices of basic products, from 30% to 60%, which is burdening citizens' budgets.
"The government accepted the price increase, but only offers trifles like salary and pension increases, which are not related to the reality experienced by Albanian families," she said.
The MP emphasizes that the Albanian economy is controlled by a few hands, producing for only a minority, while the majority of citizens face reduced purchasing power and a lack of real support from the state. She adds that “a family that spends 40% of its budget on food alone cannot be treated as a success story by government propaganda.”
Tabaku appeals for a change in the economic model, to serve the majority of Albanians and not the oligarchs.
